To all student enrolling in Day course program
The day course program is a short-term, intense Japanese language program that covers a lot of material. Also, the course and teaching style is designed as if you are learning Japanese in Japan; therefore, it is highly intense. We ask that all day course students should follow these guidelines:
- Reviewing the Lessons
Becoming good in Japanese isn’t just about attending class; it’s important to review your lessons regularly. You should set time each day to review, in addition to completing your homework. Even if you can remember the grammar and vocabulary you’ve learned, it’s important to use them in class frequently. This practice will help you remember the correct usage and improve your learning.
- Preparation Before Class
Students should memorize vocabulary and review grammar before each lesson. Before starting new lessons, there will be vocabulary quizzes, and since this course focuses on intensive skill development, being prepared will help with a smooth and effective learning. Therefore, it’s important to prepare before each class.
- Homework submission
Homework allows students to review what they’ve learned and gives instructors a chance to assess students’ understanding. There might be a day that students may need more time to complete their assignments, but it’s important to remember the benefits of consistent effort. Please make sure to complete and submit the homework assigned each day with focus and dedication. - Absence and Lateness
The first class on each day focuses on Japanese grammar, which is essential for your overall learning. If students are late, they will miss out on important grammar lessons, which will affect their ability to participate effectively in the speaking and listening practice that follows. Since each day covers a lot of material, missing even one class or session will make it difficult to catch up, especially for those without the basics. We strongly recommend attending class on time and not missing any lessons. - No Thai during the class
Students will get more chances to use Japanese intensively and become familiar with Japanese pronunciation. This will also build the Japanese environment as if you are studying in Japan. During the class, the teachers will not explain things in Thai or English and will communicate in Japanese at all times; therefore, it is better for all students to avoid speaking Thai during class because the more you speak Japanese the better you will become
***If students can follow these guidelines, they are guaranteed to become fluent in Japanese by the end of the course. Let’s give it our best effort!
